Order Confirmation
As soon as you place your order, you will receive an order confirmation email. This means that we have received your order in our system and pre-authorized your credit card for the purchase. Once your order is received, we will begin the fulfillment process. Orders are processed and shipped within 1-2 business days. Transit times typically range from 5-7 business days.
Order Shipment
Tracking information will be sent to the email address you provided at checkout within 24 hours of your order leaving the warehouse. If you do not receive tracking information within six business days, please contact us at hello@gunsafeamerica.com.
No Shipping Outside the Continental USA
We do not ship outside the continental United States or to PO boxes.
Shipping Options for Gun Safes
Our base “Curb-Side” Pickup shipping option is usually free and takes 5-7 business days to arrive. Additional options are available for certain products:
- Threshold Shipping: The item is delivered onto your porch or into a sheltered/garage area.
- White Glove Delivery: The item is delivered into your room of choice, includes minor assembly, and packaging materials are removed. (Gun safes will not be assembled.) Contact us for more information on these options prior to ordering.
Shipping Methods
We ship via standard ground shipping and freight services. Delivery times vary depending on the item, location, and carrier. For gun safes, delivery may require additional arrangements due to size and weight.
Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are calculated based on the size, weight, and destination of your order. Shipping rates will be displayed at checkout. Oversized or heavy items, such as gun safes, may incur additional charges.
Delivery Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for ensuring the delivery address is accurate and accessible. If a delivery is missed due to an incorrect address or other customer-related issues, additional fees may apply for redelivery. For gun safes, customers must confirm access for freight delivery.
Damaged or Missing Items
Inspect all deliveries upon receipt. If an item arrives damaged or is missing, notify us immediately at 833-959-7233 or via email. Damage claims must be submitted within 24 hours of delivery.
Shipping Restrictions for Ammunition by State
Certain states and municipalities impose restrictions on ammunition shipments. We comply with all federal, state, and local regulations.
State-Specific Restrictions:
- Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands: No ammunition shipments.
- California: Shipments only to registered FFLs; no magazines over 10 rounds.
- Connecticut: Requires a valid permit (e.g., Pistol or Revolver Eligibility Certificate) or valid Ammunition Certificate, along with an ID.
- Illinois: FOID or Concealed Carry Permit required for most locations; Cook County shipments limited to registered FFLs.
- Maryland: No magazines over 10 rounds.
- Massachusetts: Shipments only to registered FFLs.
- New Jersey: Requires Firearms Purchaser ID, a Permit to Purchase, or Carry Permit.
- New York: Shipments only to FFLs or licensed ammunition sellers; background check required.
- Washington, D.C.: No shipments.
- Vermont: No handgun magazines over 15 rounds or long gun magazines over 10 rounds.
If you attempt to have ammunition shipped to restricted areas, your order will be canceled, and you will incur a 10% cancellation fee.
Shipping for Firearm Accessories
Most firearm accessories are shipped without restrictions unless specified by state or federal law. Customers are responsible for ensuring compliance with all local regulations. If an accessory cannot be shipped to your location due to restrictions, we will notify you and issue a refund.
Signature Requirement for Delivery
For high-value items such as gun safes, ammunition, or firearm accessories, a signature will be required upon delivery to ensure security. The carrier will not release the package without an adult signature.
Age Verification for Ammunition
We comply with all federal and state age restrictions for ammunition purchases. Customers may be required to provide proof of age (e.g., government-issued ID) during the checkout process. Shipments will not be released without verifying the recipient’s age.
Customer Responsibility for Compliance
Customers are responsible for ensuring that their orders comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws. We are not liable for orders seized or denied due to non-compliance with local regulations. If you are unsure of the rules in your area, consult local laws before placing an order.
Weather Delays or Force Majeure
We are not responsible for shipping delays caused by weather, natural disasters, or other events beyond our control. In such cases, delivery times may be extended, and we will do our best to keep you informed.
